Which PDF forms are supported?
This tool supports standard AcroForm text fields, checkboxes, and dropdown-style fields.
What if no fields are detected?
The PDF may be a scanned form or use unsupported field types. In that case, use the visual PDF editor or sign tool instead.
What does flattening a PDF form do?
Flattening puts the completed values into the page content and removes the editable form fields. Turn it off if the recipient needs to keep editing the supported fields.
Can I fill a scanned or XFA PDF form?
This tool reads standard AcroForm fields. It does not convert scans into form fields or support dynamic XFA forms. For a flat or scanned PDF, use the visual PDF editor to add text manually.

Fill PDF Form works with controls already embedded in a PDF. A page that merely looks like a form may be a flat scan with no fields to discover. The tool creates a completed copy instead of changing the source file.
Review checkboxes, dates, multiline answers, and text near field edges after export. Calculated fields, scripts, validation rules, and digital-signature workflows may behave differently from the form author's preferred desktop application.

Your file never leaves your device
Fill PDF Form runs entirely in your browser. When you open a file, it is read into the page on your own computer and processed there — it is not uploaded to a server, stored in the cloud, or seen by anyone else. When you are done, the result is generated locally and downloaded straight to your device.
That matters because PDFs so often hold something private: a signed contract, a tax return, an invoice with a client's details, a scan of an ID. Many online PDF services quietly upload your document to process it. Because this tool keeps the work on your machine, you can work with your PDF without handing the file to a third party.
Tips for a clean result
- Start from the original PDF where you can. Re-exporting from Word or a scanner app usually gives a cleaner file than one that has already been through several tools.
- Very large files take longer because all the work happens on your device. Closing other heavy browser tabs frees up memory for big documents.
- Keep a copy of the original until you have checked the output. Because nothing is stored online, the version on your device is the only copy of the result.
- A modern browser on desktop handles the widest range of PDFs. Most tasks also work on mobile, though precise work is easier on a larger screen.
Populate AcroForm fields: choose the right workflow
AcroForm fields are named PDF controls, such as a text box or checkbox. Try the sample first: change a name, choose an option, check Reviewed, then export. Leave flattening off when the recipient needs editable fields; flatten only when a fixed result is appropriate.
A scanned page has no editable fields to populate. XFA forms use another format and are not supported here. Use the visual editor for manually placed text on a flat page; use an official compatible application when the form requires XFA. This browser tool does not provide a developer API or automate filling from a database.
